Different types of hire van

Who can hire a van?

Most Vans are Category B vehicles and can be driven on a standard (car) UK driving license.
Generally to hire a van you must be aged 25 or over (or 21 or over, and take out additional insurance).
Each rental company will have different critieria over who they will rent to and what documents you will require, check on their website before booking.

How large are the various types of vans?

Not sure what you need, or confused by the choices take a look at quick lookup guide to hire vans or you can have a look at the more in depth guides in the help section.

How much can I put in a van?

This is a combination of weight and size, generally LWB (Large) vans can carry the most weight as vans are limited to a total weight of 3,500kg (including the van) so there is a compromise between the size of the van (larger vans weigh more) and the strength/size of the van. Also remember each axle on a van has a weight limit less than the vans limit so any load must be equally distributed.
