National Van Hire
National has over 120 branches throughout the UK where vans can be rented, which means they are a significant player in both
car and van rentals. Although their choice of vans is somewhat smaller than some of their competitors.
Currently National has three main types of vans available to rent:
- Economy Van - Vauxhall Combo 2.0 or similar, 3 door car type
- Standard Van - VW LT35 Med Wheelbase or similar, 3 door
- Intermediate Van - Vauxhall Vivaro or similar, large full length
Not all of the above vans are available to hire at all locations, and some may require notice to hire.

National is a long established company that was formed in 1947 in the US, today they have over 2000 locations worldwide
and are recognized all over the world. They run a loyalty scheme called the Emerald club (or Hire Rewards), which has three
tiers of membership the highest levels available only to those who rent very frequently from national, free rental days are the rewards given.
National is now owned by Enterprise holdings who also own Alamo rent a car and the Enterprise rent a car group, Enterprise rent a car
also controls the Vanguard automotive group. In 2007 National and the companies it owns was acquired by the Taylor Family of St. Louis
and operates as a private company.
Vans can be hired online at National's rental website and over the phone. Significant
discounts are often available for prepaying.
