The French firm Citroen has launched a new industry leading initative for its van range at the Motor Show. Called the Airdream programme all Citroën's vans or cars that carry its Airdream logo:

Will have met high enviromental criteria to summarise:
At the moment Citroen say they have three models of van which meet these standards, two Nemo models, the C2 van and the new C Crosser Commercial 4x4 and in addition a Dispatch model. In addition the New Nemo and Berlingo 1.4i Dual Fuel van both meet Powershift Band 4 requirements. In addition Citroën announced that it's commercial vehicles could use up to 30% bio diesel without requireing any modifications. No doubt these vans will soon be making there way into the van hire market, although it's questionable as to how many of them will be available, as most rental companies use mainly Ford, Vauxhall or Mercedes as opposed to Citroen due to previous issues over the reliability of their van range.
