Thrifty's fleet consists of at least five different types of vans which are available to hire at most locations:
- Economy Van (small car type van, 2 door vans e.g. Vauxhall Combo
- Short Wheel Base Van (small van, full height)
- Long Wheel Base Van (Normal full size van, full height)
- Extra Long Wheel Base Van (Longer than normal van, full height)
- Luton with Tail Lift (large box type van with hydraulic lift)

Thrifty has over 90 locations in the UK, the UK franchise of Thrifty (which is mainly a US company) was acquired in 2005 by the Scot group which had started trading in 1971 (Scot Hire), their central office is located in High Wycombe.
